Why twblazor?

twblazor is the MIT licensed Blazor component library built on Tailwind CSS. Free, fully themeable and styled in your own project.

Last updated 9 October 2026

Blazor components that follow your design

Most Blazor component libraries ship their own design system and ask you to work around it. twblazor starts from the opposite end: your Tailwind CSS setup, your brand and your rules, with ready-made accessible components on top.

  • MIT licensed. Free for commercial and personal projects, forever.
  • Tailwind native. Real utility classes, not a theme layer that imitates them.
  • Yours to change. Every component's styles live in your own project.

How twblazor stacks up

twblazor is the one option that is MIT licensed, has no paid tier and is built on Tailwind CSS with the styles living in your own project.

Licence, cost and styling model of each Blazor component library. Radzen is MIT with optional paid tooling, and the commercial suites are Telerik, Syncfusion and DevExpress

What you get

Its components are styled with Tailwind utility classes that live in a Theme.cs file in your own project, so your Tailwind build compiles them and you can change any component's look by editing a C# string. There is no theme override layer to fight and no design system to work around.

  • MIT licence, no paid tier. Free and open source for commercial and personal projects, with nothing held back behind a subscription.
  • You own the styling. Classes sit in your repository, so your brand, your Tailwind config and your dark mode apply directly.
  • Works with Blazor Server and Blazor WebAssembly.
  • Dark mode, accessible markup and keyboard support in every component.
  • A Theme builder for brand colors and picking only the components you use.
